On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 4th International Symposium on Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease, it is my pleasure to invite you to come and contribute with your participation to the conference, which will take place at the Palau de Congresos de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain, from 13th to 16th September 2017.
To organize this important meeting constitutes a big challenge but also a great opportunity to give continuity to the spirit of our meetings centered in pediatric IBD. After the superb work our colleagues from Rome, Paris and Rotterdam did in previous editions, our compromise is to create another big scenario for this important symposium. We are sure that with the help of all the attendants, we will make another outstanding and unforgettable meeting.
An absolutely dedicated committee has already started to work on the organization of the conference. The PIBD 2017 will include sessions on a wide range of related topics, under an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach. We will try to attract the interest not only of pediatric gastroenterologists all over the world, but also of different specialists without whom a successful management of our patients would not be possible.
Regarding the city hosting the meeting, there is not much new I could tell you about our city. Everyone knows the different opportunities and possibilities Barcelona offers to the visitor. Its warm weather, its lively streets and surroundings, and its opened atmosphere make Barcelona one of the most attractive cities in the world. It is difficult for anyone not to feel comfortable and accepted here. Barcelona facilities and touristic offers have helped to made it nowadays one of the most desirable cities for organizing scientific meetings in Europe. The city itself is attractive enough to make this meeting a complete must.
We are sure you all will enjoy intensively four days of highest scientific quality and interaction with colleagues, as we all will discover more about the latest trends, topics and developments within the world of the pediatric inflammatory bowel disease. Have a great time at the presentations, exhibitions, poster sessions, welcome reception… We hope you find the opportunity to share knowledge with experts in this field during your visit to our beautiful city.
